A Hunger for Love Behind the Mask of the Bully

For the cries are not heard in the silence, the tears are not seen in the darkness, but the hunger for love is everywhere.

What can a person do to break through the barriers surrounding this world? Nation upon nation are rising up in battles.

Young children are bullied in schools across this country. Abuse in many forms continues in the homes of people everywhere. There is a defining madness that tears at the heart of the people.

There’s a deep hunger to be loved. A void exists in the hearts of the lonely, the shattered, and the rejected. What happened to helping others? Where are the unsung heroes? People would rather avoid compromising situations than to deal with them.

At the same time, there is a deep silence that exists. No one speaks of the horrific acts. Bullying behavior feeds on the weak. Bullies are rejected individuals who want to feel more powerful so they in turn bully another. The fuel of rejection continues.

A deep pain stings at the soul. A hunger for love. Instead of showing some form of weakness, they put up barriers of protection. Guarding their hearts so others cannot see their pain and they won’t let anyone in to love them.

The darkness of the soul creeps into a barren existence. Lurking around the corners, the mind plays a terrible game. Evil feeds on its prey. Stalking like a vulture, the evil deeds to be done.

Love used to dominant another is difficult. Love given to honor another is respectable.

For I do not hold the answers to life’s questions. I only ask where has the love gone for mankind? Is it enough to define what love can become if others were willing to make a change in their life? What if the love was spread across this country and it revolutionized the world?  Would it make a difference in the state of things to come?

For those who are bullied, tell someone about it. Talk to a friend, a parent, or a trusted person. Don’t let the bully be the victor. Become an advocate of love and tell someone so the bully can get the help they need.

Remember you are much stronger than you think you are. And most of all remember you are loved by the God of this universe. His love is mighty. Trust in Him and don’t give up on yourself.
