Plant a seed, reap the harvest

It all begins with a small seed. Planted firmly in the ground to flourish, a bountiful of harvest is expected. When you plant a seed, you expect it to grow into its intended design. A garden of fresh flowers ready for the butterflies, or a garden of fruits and vegetables ready for the picking.

Expectations and desires are the motivation behind planting seeds in the garden. What about planting seeds of faith? For everything you plant has a foundation in which to grow. Are you planting seeds of faith in your life? Sprinkling around the seeds in each aspect of your life, are you expecting a harvest?

For one day, there will be a bountiful of blessings.

Following in obedience to the Lord’s teaching, faith is like a mustard seed.

If you believe, if you have faith, it’s like planting a mustard seed.

In Matthew 17:20, Jesus taught about faith.

He replied, “Because you have so little faith. I tell you the truth, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.”

Planting seeds of faith within your life enables your faith to grow.  For in such faith, anything is possible. God will work through great faith. He gives comfort to the weak, He renews the strength of those who count on Him. He is ever merciful and grace is available to any one who asks.

Faith is a renewable resource. It continues to bless the giver and receiver long after its planted. Grow great seeds of faith in the lives you touch.

Plant today and expect a harvest tomorrow.

  1. This is beautiful and so true! I am glad I keep the seed of faith in my heart. I long wanted to be a Christian but I waited for everyone around me to be ready and stop protesting. It reached to a point that I can no longer wait and do it on my own. I learned that I can’t force faith but I can live it that others will want it. They want it! Woot! Hugggs 🙂
