Who’s in the cubicle next to yours?

Do we really know our neighbors? Those people we work with everyday or those we live near, how much do we really know about them. In this segment of who’s in the cubicle next to yours, I’d like to explore the nature we do business.

In our daily lives, we go to work and do our jobs. We focus on tasks and what is our responsibility. The day ends and we head home to focus on our family and our household chores. It creates a busy day in our schedule. The next morning we wake up and repeat the pattern.

Have you ever encountered a stranger and thought, they look familiar? Or ran into an old friend you haven’t seen for a long time? Sometimes God puts before us little reminders. These coincidental encounters are to remind us that life is not all about us. There are people who like us, need encouragement, inspiration, and a kind word.

Those individuals who sit next to you at work are no different. They need some encouragement as well. Are you aware of what is going on in their lives? Do you take the time to have lunch or sit and talk with them? Spending time with your neighbors and getting to know the people in your life may lead you to a better understanding.

There is no one in your life by accident. The people who are part of your life are here for a reason, a season, and sometimes a lifetime. Take a few minutes in your day and look around. Who’s in the cubicle next to yours?

  1. Today’s times are so different from my growing up years. Our neighborhood was one big family-looking after each other and sharing in fun events. Today, I do not know my neighbors-and this is sad.

True: “There is no one in your life by accident. The people who are part of your life are here for a reason, a season, and sometimes a lifetime.

  2. Some of these people, in my work and neighborhood, feels like family. And yes I agree, each of the person is brought into our lives for a reason — same with us into their lives. Hugggs 🙂

I have refrained from giving my opinion during this election. The discouragement and lack of respect given to each of the opponents show little to no value for the American people. How can we respect our leaders when they lack the respect of one another? The candidates have slandered one another and pointed fingers at […] … Continue reading Show Some Respect […]
