Rest in Peace Dr Charles Stanley

Today Dr Charles F Stanley lies in repose. At his church in Atlanta GA, where he was a pastor over 50 years, Dr Stanley’s services were streamed live on Saturday morning and afternoon.

I watched for some time and couldn’t help to see the great impact on so many people. They came in single file and each person stood at the closed casket to say their goodbyes. A man of God who’s influence goes around the globe. The impact of his life, and the impact of the worldwide ministries of InTouch, can be seen surrounding the alter where he lay in peace.

Tears were flowing, memories were relived, and people paid their respects. The beautiful flower arrangements were a small testament of God’s creation. Red rose bouquets lay upon the rich mahagony casket. It was a moment that took my breath away. A very nice touch to the man that has passed from this life into the next.

I respected Dr Charles Stanley immensely. His teaching came directly from God’s word. He devoted his life to Jesus and lived his life to obey God and leave all the consequences to Him. A man with life principles and dedication to serving God and others.

The world is a better place because of his preaching and leading many to Christ.

A true mark of a man is not how much money he makes, or how much wealth he has produced, no, a true measure of a man is how much greater the world is because he lived. His life’s work brought us closer, we became wiser by his teachings and we understood what a true man of God should be.

My heart goes out to Andy Stanley and his sister, all the Stanley family, and to the millions of people around the globe that have been impacted by Dr Charles Stanley’s teaching. We have been forever blessed by this teacher, preacher and friend. Tears were flowing, memories were relived, and people paid their respects.
