Isaiah 43:18-19 says, “Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the desert and streams in the wasteland.”
Remembering the events of our year, the good and the bad, we look ahead to 2012.
Moving on to a new year, we look forward to a prosperous, healthy 2012.
For those of you who have had some setbacks this year remember God still has a plan for your life. Turn your past over to HIM and allow HIM to handle everything.
As Joyce Meyer once said the “Battlefield is in our Minds.” Don’t let the enemy steal your joy or the hope God has prepared for you.
Celebrate your life. Thank God for the events of 2011.
Understanding and reflecting on your past is healthy, however you cannot stay there. Mary Whelchel, the Christian Working Woman said, “When we live in the past, when the past controls are thinking, then we have no future. Your past may be preventing you from knowing the joys and blessings God has planned for your future.”
Philippians 4:8 says we should think about good things. “Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things.”
Prepare for 2012 by asking God to do a good work in your life. Turn the reigns of your life over to HIM and “being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.” – Philippians 1:6
