“The unbelieving mind would not be convinced by any proof, and the worshiping heart needs none.” – A. W. Tozer
Are you standing on shaking ground? Have you lost your faith? Life can be a challenge and when you are suffering from loss, illness, and pain can be just as devastating. Feeling like your world is crumbling before you, some days it’s hard just to get out of bed in the morning. So what do you do? Do you walk around with your head cast down, hoping no one will notice? Do you complain or gripe about how terrible your life is, how unfair it seems? Are others offering you hope or simply staying away?
When you are most vulnerable, the opportunity enters for Satan to appear. He will serve you with an appetite of depression, a hunger for despair and a royal treatment of anxiety. Is this what you’re looking for to get you out of your pit? Of course not, nobody wants to feel sad and miserable all the time. Being a victim of circumstances certainly won’t give you the power of happiness. However you can change your thinking.
Your reaction to your situation has more power than you realize. There is power in positive thinking and much more power in prayer.
When you worship in the midst of incredible struggles, your heart releases the burden you were never meant to carry.
Looking at life through rose-colored glasses doesn’t appear to offer much, just a tint of reality. The hue may change the appearance, but the reality stays the same. Change your circumstances by reaching out for support. Reality is this, all that exists or happens in real life could actually happen. The philosophy in such things is the totality of real things independent of people’s knowledge or perception of them.
By examining your set of beliefs and underlying thoughts, you participate in the program. Resign yourself from the fact that you cannot change your future. For you cannot change your past but you can take what you’ve experienced and learn from it, grow from it.
Alienating people in your life that support you, that desire to help you, will only make matters worse. Allow those faithful friends and family to come to your aide. Allow God to work in your life. Don’t turn away from God when you need Him the most. Look to the Heavenly Father and reach out to Him. He is willing and able to do all that He can, if you just let Him.
Sometimes in life, your faith is tested. Your walk in life comes under trials and tests of many kinds. These are opportunities presented before you. Let your walk be blameless and upright. When you are facing unknowns, or rejection, ask God to walk with you. Read scripture, say a prayer, talk to another about your faith, and ask for help. You were never meant to walk this journey alone.
“Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.” – James 1:2-4
I have my post on storm too and it’s not a coincidence that I’m reading this. I am empowered and enlightened. Thank you so much 🙂
It’s amazing how our stories find association. I believe it’s God’s loving purpose to bring healing. Thanks for sharing. Your post was emotionally gripping. Blessings to you. 🙂
