“We ought not to be weary of doing little things for the love of God, who regards not the greatness of the work, but the love with which it is performed.” – Brother Lawrence
It is a fundamental lesson that teaches us love is the greatest gift anyone could give or receive. I’m reminded of this great love as Mother’s day approaches.
Mother’s Day; when we all celebrate and honor our moms.
There’s not much I can say here that will do any justice to the love I feel for my mom. So I’m going to illustrate this honor with inspiring quotes. May you be blessed by these words.
Mothers are smart:
Blessed are those who find wisdom, those who gain understanding – Proverbs 3:13
Mothers use the resources they have available to them:
“The happiest of people don’t necessarily have the best of everything; they just make the most of everything that comes along their way.” – Unknown
Mothers teach us valuable lessons in life.
You can only become truly accomplished at something you love. Don’t make money your goal. Instead pursue the things you love doing, and then do them so well that people can’t take their eyes off of you. —Maya Angelou
Mothers are the keepers of our dreams.
“Don’t let anyone rob you of your imagination, your creativity, or your curiosity. It’s your place in the world; it’s your life. Go on and do all you can with it, and make it the life you want to live.”
— Mae C. Jemison, first African-American woman astronaut
Take a moment to count your blessings.
A Mother’s love is unconditional for her children. Inspiring and encouraging, she represents the hallmark of a giant.
If you were blessed to have such a Mother, thank God. Be a blessing to someone else and share the love.
If your Mother failed you in some way, try to forgive her. Pray for healing and ask God to enable you to move past the pain.
Mothers are one of a kind. Give a hug to your moms and have a Happy Mother’s Day.
Every mother should be honored with praise. A mother’s love is unconditional and enduring. Mary followed Jesus even to the cross, and to the tomb, suffering along with him.
Thank you Dan, you are so right.
Mothers do suffer along with their children and they also rejoice in their happiness.
What a great blessing to cherish.
