Breaking news: U.S forces have killed Osama Bin Laden. The man behind the attacks of 9/11, this man was a murderer. The world is celebrating today to find out this evil man has been killed.
A world terrorist. How can one man have that much power? Referred to as public enemy number one, this man built forces to terrorize Americans and others around the world.
President Obama announced in the news conference, “justice has been done.” Everyone is weighing in and giving their opinions. Tweets and Facebook comments are spreading across the communication networks.
What does all this mean to the average person? For those who have been directly effected by terrorism, the news brings a sense of justice. One person said, the war took 47,000 lives and this one man is finally dead.
Should we be praising? Should we be celebrating? At ground zero, people gathered together and across the country, many are cheering.
Personally, I don’t know how to feel. The war is not over and there is no peace on earth. I’m glad this evil presence has been taken out, however evil still remains at large. In this world, evil will remain until Christ‘s return. All that we can do is share that message to others. We are to be ambassadors of Christ, sharing the message of the gospel: the good news.
Today people are reacting to the “good news” of Osama Bin Laden’s death. The entire world is reacting, the news reports and headlines read: DEAD. The war on terror has won one battle, but the war still continues.
What are your reactions? You can weigh in here.
What came to mind was — If a war is only against one person, that person is not outside of us. We should pray for His peace and stop the war. God bless everyone 🙂
