Woman dies at desk, but nobody notices – Chicago Sun-Times

Have we become complacent? Are we so busy in our lives that we don’t see what is going on around us? I don’t have the answers. I only have questions. And I’m sure this family would like answers.

It becomes an outrage, to hear a story like this one. If it were my mom, my sister, or my daughter, I would want to know. Why?

Why are we so busy looking out for ourselves, what we have to do in life, that we don’t look around at the people in our lives?  I have to admit, I become guilty of this too. Focused on one thing, we move about our day to get to the next level.

So tell me, what can we do to change this? Pay more attention? Get more involved? I just believe this is a story that needs to be told. Read on… Woman dies at desk, but nobody notices – Chicago Sun-Times.

My heart goes out to her family and friends.

  1. That is very sad! It obviously is someones relative which is a real tragedy. It is like hearing about casualties from war, when it first starts you are shocked but after a few weeks of hearing this you fell yourself saying, “oh it was ONLY three today, ” as if it is better, but we know it is not. I think the world is going through a tremendous change and hopefully we will come through it more spiritually aware and caring. That’s the hope we all have I think.

    Nice post, take care Alan

  2. A very sad tragedy indeed. It makes you stop and question whether we are so caught up in our own little worlds we fail to see others. My hope is that we can have a greater sense of awareness and be the difference makers of this life. Thanks for your comments.

  3. This story breaks my heart. Almost as bad as the one years a go, where a poor soul stripped her 3 little boys and then threw them in San. Fran. Bay. The kicker was people ‘reported this’. No one tryed to stop her. Blow’s my mind. I don;t know who to pity more, the pitiful mother,or those who stood by silently. Our world need’s prayer.

    • I cannot agree more. Our world needs prayers. What a horrific story. Why would anyone just stand by and watch? It amazes me sometime as I can’t understand why anyone would do such a thing.
Thanks for stopping here and sharing your comments.
