Inspirational quotes for women about life: The spoken word of Maya Angelou

Maya Angelou is an inspiring poet. As a woman who has seen much in life, Maya’s words of wisdom teach character and humility.  

Inspirational quotes can stir the soul to change and the heart to love.  In life, there is no one like Maya Angelou. I’m encouraged by her straight-forward honesty and strength. She has lived the struggles of racial divide and has fought the good fight.

As Maya Angelou would say, “How important it is for us to recognize and celebrate our heroes and she-roes!”

The best-selling author, poet, activist, and historian, Dr. Maya Angelou is truly a phenomenal woman. She communicates with elegance a quality unmatched to anyone else

Women can find strength from her words, discover their true calling and enrich the beauty within them by reading her books. She inspires the heart and soul with life-giving words that boost the spirit within.

Read the words of this “Phenomenal Woman” poem. They speak to the rhythms of the heart deepened with the beauty of a transformed life.

Dr. Maya Angelou speaks to every woman when she says,

“Now you understand 

Just why my head’s not bowed. 

I don’t shout or jump about 

Or have to talk real loud. 

When you see me passing 

It ought to make you proud. 

I say, It’s in the click of my heels, 

The bend of my hair, 

the palm of my hand, 

The need of my care, 

‘Cause I’m a woman Phenomenally. 

Phenomenal woman, That’s me.” 

There is a deep respect for any woman who finds strength during life’s trials. Maya gives strengthening words of encouragement for women everywhere.

History, despite its wrenching pain, cannot be unlived, but if faced with courage, need not be lived again,” Maya said.

Isaiah 40:31 says, “But those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.”

Let us not lose heart when things don’t go the way we want; for there is a promise, an assurance of hope, for a brighter tomorrow.

I often share this one of my favorite inspirational quotes by Maya Angelou, “I’ve learned that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel.”

Thank God for the poets in life.
